Canicule

Oi ! Already more than a week that I haven't posted. Well, I finished school, an exam (I'm now waiting for the results), and now I'm in holidays!!

I started it by a car racing last Sunday. It was so cool !! In my favorite things was this car, a Ford Mustang.

Also we broke the law and walked on the speedway to see the cars before the race started. This beautiful Audi R8 was great.

Anyway. These days I took a few pictures, and made a few things for my stable.

ES Arcadian Zippo is... beautiful. Seriously I love him.

ES Vera Lynn - saddle pad by x-Amazing Schleich

ES Ballad of Grimaldi and a few things I made for her. Each door has its now.

ES Arcadian Zippo

TA-DAAA ! I finally finished this boy ! And I'm like... VERY happy of how he turned.
He's named Arcadian Zippo, he's flaxen chestnut overo sabino, with a blue eye and a brown one and presented as a Paint-Horse Stallion.
(I think he's now one of my favorites horses in my collection...)

Isn't he gorgeous ? Feelin so proud of myself. Even if he's far from perfect.

How to not going nuts with the hair-by-hair

Hair-by-hair detailing can freak out more than one hobbyist. I was freaking out. But then I decided to paint an overo sabino.

Anyway. You'll need a few things to paint this coat on your model horse.

First, a horse in base coat. Second, paintbrush and white paint. I use a white pastel pencil, too. And of course... REFERENCES ! Look at real horses. You want your custom to look real. I picked up two pictures on the internet to inspire me while painting.

First step : marking. Mark the base.

Then, paint it in white.

And the funnier part... hairing ! Paint slowly, take breaks, and be patient.

In one hour, I almost completed one side. Isn't it funny ? Plus, the result is great.

It's my first hair-by-hair custom, but I think it turned out quite well.

(I'm supposed to study right now but... nope eheh. Still four days and a half of school and then Model Horse, reals horses, and Concerts !)

Waiting

Good news ! I'm sending a body to one of my hobbyist friend, Elisa, better known as x-Amazing-Schleich on the internet. That's the shetland mare CollectA and she'll be the portrait of my little girl, Gulliverte (who's minimal tobiano chestnut-almost-silver-bay-but-still-chesnut-so-maybe-a-silver-chestnut-as-her-mama?)

Anyway. That's the beast right here! Isn't she looking cute ?

I already own a portrait of my boy, Jet, painted by Hauntedwood Corp Studio and already presented on this blog. I own too a portrait of Gulliverte's mother, my shetty mare Mascotte (who's currently sick :/), painted by myself. Oh, she has VERY blond mane and tail but that's cool, because IRL... this mare is a "grosse blonde" or a "blondasse" as we say here. The model doesn't look like the real Moune but I wanted it that way ; it's more "symbolic".

I'm waiting too for a Muffin Top resin (sculpted by Paloose Arts, which is probably gonna be painted by myself, and another CollectA shetty mare custom, painted by Schleich-Landwolf.

Schleich tack

I've been collecting Schleich horses for years now. Almost 4, in fact ! Well, I have Schleich horses since 6 or 7 years. My first was Alfyre, the Camargue mare - I'll make a special post for her someday.

At the beginning, I played a lot with em. Then, I started to think as a hobbyist, customized, and... of course, made tack.

Here's my actual Schleich saddlery ; there is my most used tack in. Almost everything is made by myself, and was made a while ago, so it's not an excellent quality. I plan to make better tack one day.
I have a few things that I won ; the red rope halter you can see, that I won a few years ago at Marion175's photoshow. I won the yellow and pink padd at Haras des Brumes' photoshow.
x-Amazing-Schleich, aka Elisa gave me the white and pink padd and the brown and blue halter (the latter was made by Van de Broy).

The most used thing in it is, without any doubt, an halter I made a while ago. He's old, but he fits quite well most of my horses.

ES Vera Lynn, painted a few months ago by myself on the 2014 Schleich Lipizzaner mare. I loooove her ! She came back with me from my trip in London last february.

Anyway. In 2 weeks I have an exam and then I'm free. Totally FREE. This summer ?
- Car racing on June 28th
- CocoRosie gig at le Cabaret Sauvage, Paris on July 16th
- Rock en Seine for The Libertines (!!! agaiiin yess !!!) on August 29th
- Working with my two ponies, Jet and Gullie
- And a lot of Model Horse stuff!!

ES Horrorshow

Ok. My eyes hurt. This custom was the harder that I've ever painted. Anyway I'm pretty satisfied with it, even if he's full of mistakes, of course. He's named ES Horrorshow (this name fits him soooo good!) and he's in an overo bay coat with blue eyes.

Bunch of (very) tiny horses

I haven't posted since a few days ; first of all, I failed my exam Wednesday. I'm a bit disappointed ; I really worked on it and... I couldn't do it when I was in front of it. So of course I wasn't in a good mood.

Anyway, I made a few progress on my customs today. The stablemate is gonna be a pintaloosa bay, the Schleich will be a pinto chestnut (tobiano or overo ? dunno) and the mini whinnie is gonna be a pinto bay (tobiano I think).

By the way ; I wish the most beautiful 37th birthday to the wonderful Carlos BarĂ¢t <3
Can't wait to see The Libertines again...

Busy...

Yo!
So, tomorrow (well, 'would be better to say in 11 hours) I have an exam. Then another in two weeks. So of course I have to study a bit. So of course I'm busy with other things than Model Horse so of course I won't be very active until the 26th of June.

Then I'm like FREE and I'll have sooooo much time to create!

Anyway, to illustrate this article, here's Amazing Corvette, painted by Elisa from x-Amazing-Schleich (she has a blog on Skyrock). Her work is... amazing. Perfect. I LOVE IT. This girl came with another, but this one is my favourite. I think she's one of my favourite ever!
Behind her is ES Usinn Chance, and behind again is ES Mascotte de Venoy, portrait of my real pony.
They're all parts of my Rainbow Project. This is a crazy, absolutely insane project. It implies me having a Shetland pony (Little Bit scale) in EVERY coat that exists. It can take - and it probably would - my whole life but... Shettys are sooooo cute!

Everyone need a dream, right ?
